VRMC Named Apogee's Hospital of the Year

Selma, Ala. - Vaughan Regional Medical Center was recently named Hospital of the Year by Apogee Physicians, Inc. Apogee Physicians is a physician-owned nationally recognized hospitalist company. Apogee is partnered with Vaughan Regional to provide hospitalist physician support for inpatient services at Vaughan.
"The Hospital that wins Hospital of the Year Award is chosen from Apogee's 70+ hospital partners nationally," said Peter Thompson, MD, Chief of Clinical Operations at Apogee Physicians. "The award recognizes the hospitals' efforts to be a great partner as Apogee recruits, implements, and directs our shared hospitalist team. We have found Vaughan to be very constructive and proactive in assessing needs, being flexible when needed, and understanding our recruiting efforts to find the very best physicians for the facility," Thompson said.
